Daily Challenge

Daily Challenge is a social well-being product that promotes daily small actions. The app is free to the public online at www.dailychallenge.com, and is optimized for a number of smartphone devices. Users register and start receiving one Challenge each day via email. They mark the Challenge as done, then share how they did it with their social connections. Users complete Challenges and earn points, stamps, smiles, and levels. Users also obtain and regularly monitor their Well-being Score by completing a Well-being Tracker upon registration which asks a series of questions about well-being, derived from the popular Gallop-Healthways Well-Being Index. Active users who reach certain levels of points have the ability to unlock Tracks which are series of Challenges focused on specific areas of well-being. Since its launch in September 2010, Daily Challenge has attracted over 190,000 users. The product is rooted in social network research showing health related behaviors are contagious, as well as behavioral design research which exemplifies how small behaviors over time can have lasting change. Daily Challenge is developed by MeYou Health, a wholly owned subsidiary of Healthways. It is a 'freemium' product, with a free version available to everyone, and a premium offering that includes immediate access to any of the 33+ Tracks for employers and health plans.
